Favourite quotes

My favourite quote of all times is “I know nothing, I’m from Barcelona”. Ideally you should know it in several languages; Spanish for example because there it makes even less sense (Yo no se nada, soy de Barcelona). The original quote is from the TV show Fawlty towers although I picked it up from a drunken Scotsmann. Is this some sort of double negation, drunken Scotsman?

Well anyways. I quite like it. Another pretty cool quote is “A Chinese man with only one chopstick goes hungry!” It seems to make sense at first but then in the end it doesn’t really. Still it pretty usefull as a totally random remark in an arkward situation where you don’t know what to say.
Pretty OK are: “I was sitting in my bedroom looking at the stars and wondering; where the hell is my ceiling?” or may be more usefull for travelling: “Don’t follow me, I don’t know where I’m going!” and one of my favourites: “Being bored is an insult to oneself.”

Usefull and true is also: “Never argue with a fool. Some people might not know the difference.” with always goes down well with idiots because they don’t seem to get it. They probably think it is suggesting that you are the fool and not them. Well, if they think so.

Not particularly nice but always kind of funny is: “Your village called. They’re missing their idiot.”

If you prefer a more subtile humour you may like this: “There are 3 kinds of people in the world: the ones who can count and the ones who cant!”

I want to close todays subject with a Spanish Proverb: How beautiful it is to do nothing, and then to rest afterwards.

That says it all does it?!
